Love island stars Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury were left devasted after the death of their puppy they bought just days before from overseas.
The social media stars received backlash after purchasing the Pomeranian over the lockdown from Cheshire-based business, Tiffany Chihuahuas & Pomeranians who imported Mr. Chai from Russia without his mother.
Mr. Chai died six days after the couple got him due to health complications. An autopsy revealed Mr. Chai's skull wasn't fully developed and had left part of his brain exposed.
Lucy's Law makes it illegal to sell a puppy without it being seen with its mother in the place where it is born and prevents cases like Mr. Chai from occurring.
With a combined total of 8million followers on Instagram, where they shared photos and videos of Mr. Chai, the social media influencers have a huge platform which they used to their advantage to warn others to take care in researching before purchasing a puppy.
The couple uploaded an emotional YouTube video, which reached 3.7million views, explaining their experience with Mr. Chai.
